Brunch in Lincoln Park

Work outing at US Cellular Field. The weather was beautiful; it was a perfect way to end the summer. Ken G Jr. hit his first homer with Chicago, and Maggie beat the odds (15 in 33,000) to win a signed jersey. Socks beat the Mariners 15-3.

Mike and I snuck into the HOB on Dearborn this weekend because he wanted to see the venue and stage upstairs. We caught the end of a Tokio Hotel show, which is a terrible pop-emo band from Germany. Needless to say, we were the only ones at the bar, surrounded by what looked to be a sold-out crowd of screaming teenage girls.

Last weekend at the beautiful Portage Theater on Milwaukee. Ricou Browning (the man who played the creature in the underwater scenes) was there as a special guest. I’m going back to the theater tomorrow for Terror in the Aisles, their horror movie marathon.
